Teams, matches and reports
What you'll find on team, match and report pages, and how to compare teams.
Team pages
Section titled “Team pages”Type a team number in search, or select any team you see, to open its page. The tabs:
- Overview: the team’s key numbers at this event, compared with the rest of the field, a By match trend for any metric, and All metrics.
- Matches: the team’s matches at this event.
- Breakdowns: how the team answered the post-match questions, like robot roles, climbs and intake types.
- Notes: every scouter’s notes about the team at this event, from every source team.
- Season: the team across every event this season.
Use [ and ] to step to the previous or next team.
Match pages
Section titled “Match pages”A match page shows the red and blue alliances side by side, the result once it’s played, and Lovat’s prediction: Prediction before the match, and Predicted before the match afterwards, so you can see how it held up. See How predictions work.
Scout reports lists every source team’s reports for each robot. Your team’s reports are marked as yours. Other teams’ scouters stay hidden.
Use [ and ] to step through matches.
Report pages
Section titled “Report pages”A report shows everything one scouter recorded about one robot in one match: the notes (with a Robot broke banner if they reported it), the timeline of actions, the post-match answers, and the metrics Lovat calculated from it. The header says who scouted it: your scouter’s name on your own reports, or just the team for other teams’ reports.
Badges explain anything unusual: Practice for training-mode reports, Excluded from analysis, Older version when it’s been edited, and Deleted. Questions that were added to the form after a report was submitted show as not asked, not as blanks.
What you can do from a report:
- Flag report if something looks wrong. The flag goes to the scouting lead of the team that scouted it. See Coverage and flags.
- Edit notes on your own team’s reports. Editing saves a new version; the original stays in its history.
- Scouting leads can also Exclude from analysis (and include it again) or Delete report.
Compare teams
Section titled “Compare teams”On the Teams page, select two to six teams (press x on a row, or touch and hold on a phone or tablet), then select Compare. You can also type the numbers in search, like 254 1678. Compare shows the teams side by side Per match, and in their Shared matches.
From the same selection, Add to picklist puts the teams on one of your manual picklists.
